Who thinks that composing professional pieces of music and Podcasts is reserved to professionals with corresponding equipment, might be wrong. Many people also think that professional music can only be composed on a multimedia allrounder such as the Apple Macintosh. This is also only half of the truth. With modern music software, professionally sounding songs can be composed in a matter of minutes both on the Mac and on the PC. One can easily create whole soundtracks quickly. It is extremely simple, both for beginners and professionals, to create all different kinds of music. Whoever told you one can only create electric music styles on the PC, he was wrong.

Of course, a computer can not replace a whole orchestra or a professional Studio. Still, the quality comes rather close to professional levels, even though composing music on the PC is substantially simpler than in the studio. One does neither require knowledge in areas such as playing instrument, nor in writing complex compositions. Even complete amateurs can provide nice pieces of music after playing a bit with the program. Usually, music software allows the user to choose between different virtual instruments, sound effects, sound samples and selected music components.

These pieces of sound can be easily arranged using intelligent user interfaces, such that many small sound elements become a nice sounding piece of music. In addition, one can also import additional sound effects and noises. Thus, one can for example record the own voice, and import it without prior knowledge. One can also adjust the volume of these sounds and remove disturbing background noises, that for instance occur if one records one's voice outside or with an nonprofessional microphone. It is completely simple to create an unforgettable hearing experience for friends and acquaintances. To create a perfect and harmonious song or a music video using modern, intelligent assistants is very simple as it can be done step by step. A large selection of music software can be purchased from internet retail stores such as fairclick.de

It happens rarely, but if it happens, it is particularly annoying. The reasons for data losses are various, but only few computer users keep in mind that they could also be affected. A loss of data can lead in the best case to the loss of the last vacation pictures. In the worst case, whole companies can be put out of business. The theft of a laptop can completely tie up the accounting department of a company. Often, the probability of the destruction of a hard drive through forces of nature, fire, and hardware failures are underestimated. Who can state about himself that his computer is placed such that it would never be endangered by fires, inundations, or short-circuits? We should also keep in mind that human errors or computer viruses can lead to data losses as well.

The choice of backupstools is sufficiently large, that it allows one to different the programs according to the possible requirements that one can have. There is no black or white. While it is in many cases sufficient for a home user without particularly important data to secure this data on a USB stick on a monthly basis, a bank should back up every transaction done by its users, in a system that works such that every backup can replace the original within a short period of time. One should differentiate not only between the user's requirements but also between types of data. On the one hand, there is machine restorable data, likean operating system or other software products. They can easily be restored by throwing in a CD. This data does not necessarily have to be protected very well.

The story looks differently with irreplaceable data, like for example Excel tables or photo. If a company loses irreplaceable data, it especially has to consider the value of this data. This value does not only include the costs of restoring the file, but also the costs of lost productivity while restoring the file and the lost hours of work if the file can not be restored.

Some hints for the protection of data:
1. The backup should be stored for the amount of time necessary to fulfill all legal obligations. Data that is important for tax inspections, for example, should be available within the legal timeframe.
2. Data should be secured during normal operation to keep the user's productivity high. This should happen automatically, as with manual data safety devices, human errors can not be excluded. Backups should be done periodically.
3. It is important to make at least two copies of the data on two different media. These media should also be seperated spatially, in order to avoid the simultaneous loss.
4. Due to nowadays relatively low and constantly falling price of memory, a complete backup of all data is particularly recommendable.
5. Common formats for files should be used.
6. The backup media should be examined regularly
7. With confidential data, both the original and the backup should be protected against unauthorized access.
8. A large selection of backup tools for almost all possible requirements can be bought online, on online software retail websites.

Everyone knows the problem only too well. Especially self-employed persons, craftsman and small firms lose much unnecessary time with bookkeeping. Most of them sacrifice their spare time for waste hours doing all this complicated accounting things that need to be done. Many entrepreneurs have problems with the correct implementation of some of the very complicated rules. Others suffer because they don't have a system that allows they to keep the accounting work simple. Some entrepreneurs, that perform well their job, but perform badly when it comes to keeping records.Thereby, they loose valuable time, money and nerves. And an accountant is usually either horribly expensive or he understands nothing about the subject. In many cases, accountants even need years to familiarize with a business. This is especially annoying if one is considering changing the accountant.

Many entrepreneurs forget that there are software solutions that can make their life clearly simpler when it comes to the completion of administrative work. Modern bookkeeping applications use the the many years of experience of some of the best specialists in the world, just to design programs that allow the bookkeeping of an enterprise to become as efficient as it can be. Some of these programs even provide data bases, in which some of the most frequently asked questions about bookkepping are answered. Of course, tips that will somplify the daily work routine are contained as well. Many applications also offer a "mobility mode" for the work on weekends, at home, or during travel time. Thus, one office can be administered completely from one computer. Reports and evaluations for the financial planning or for delivery to the tax counsel and the tax office are created automatically within seconds. This easily increases the efficiency of a small enterprise. In many cases, it does not even require special computer knowledge. A test of the software is really worthwhile. Accounting software is available in the in many computer stores and on the websites of various online software retailers.

An anti-virus program ensures that computer viruses, worms and Trojan horses are detected, blocked and eliminated if necessary. Anti-Virus programs usually scan all files, programs, the main memory and possibly Internet traffic. In principle, their virus recognition engines use one of two techniques:
- With the reactive technology a parasit is only recognized if an appropriate definition was made available.
- With the proactive technology, parasits are recognized without available definitions. Some virus scanners have the possibility of looking for general characteristics that can be attributed to infected files. This proactive technology is called heuristic. Another proactive technology is called sandbox. Using the sandbox, a potentially harmful program is executed in a secured environment, a “computer within the computer” so-to-speak. Any damage it generates there is recoqnized by the virus scanner, such that it knows that the file has to be quarantined.

Both techniques are part of most modern anti-virus programs. The Internet update function, which downloads the current virus definitions automatically from the manufacturer, is of special importance due to its importance to the reactive Scans. This is also the principal reason why a legally acquired copy of a virus scanner is so important. Without the update function, which functions only in connection with a legal license, the virus scanner is worthless.

An alternative to the virus scanner that is installed on the computer is the on-line virus scanner. It basically works by definition only if initiated manually by the computer user. That is practical in large firm networks. However, it is suitable only for cleaning an infected PC. The preventive protection of a system is at this stage of the development not possible.

In general, it should be noted that one virus scanner on its own usually is not able to detect all possible viruses and worms. Therefore, virus scanners should be used only in addition to more general precautionary measures. The most important of these measures is that the user creates periodical backup copies of his important files. These backups make the user independent of the computer hardware in itself. As such, a loss of data is also prevented in circumstances other than a virus attack: the failure of the hard disk, a fire, etc... A large selection of virus scanners is available in many computer stores, or can be ordered or downloaded legally on several online software retailer websites. Therefore there is no excuse not to use a virus scanner, especially because one does not only endanger oneself, but also others by not protecting one's PC.
