I can't wait! Co-worker Diane and I have decided to see the movie together when it comes out, since we read and discussed the book. She sent me the link for the trailer and I almost squealed with delight. (Not a good thing, when you work in a library.) Then I did squeal with laughter, forty-two seconds into the clip.

All the fangirls are commenting at YouTube over Lee Pace, whoever he is. I'm much more excited about Ciaran Hinds, who plays Joe. *wriggles like a happy puppy*

It's still Wednesday here in California, so it isn't too late. I posted a serial drabble at grangersnape100 here, to show what Severus might be consider to be an ideal birthday. Eight hundred-word drabbles, and there are more on the way, since there were a few calls for a sequel, and another plot bunny bit me. Please take a look, if you're so inclined!

Does the number 3897 mean anything? I drive under a pedestrian overpass every day on my way to work, and four posters (one digit per poster) have been fastened to the outside of the mesh for at least a week. Google didn't yield anything that looked promising.

It's like when I discovered Jane Eyre, after a decade of knowing I should read it, but refusing because of my anti-snob tendencies. Okay, Heart over Mind and Tyger, Tyger aren't quite as widely-read as Charlotte Bronte's masterpiece, but they are classics in this little ship we sail. And I've read both, for the first time, in the last week.

Hot damn. Why didn't anybody force me to read these years ago?!

ickgloucester started the Final Word Drabble Challenge over a month ago, and it's still going! I responded first last week at post here, so I'm in charge again this week. Here are the rules:

I'll give you a one-word prompt. It has to be the final word of the drabble you post in response in my comments section. As many people as feel the urge can respond. Any rating, any Potterverse pairing/situation ... anything that grabs your muse by the short and curlies. (I do warn you, however, that anyone who so much as hints at romantic Ron/Hermione in anything resembling a favorable light will be systematically slaughtered.) Time limit of a week; the first person to post their drabble gets to choose the word for the next round.

So the last word in each hundred-word drabble this week shall be ... spell. Happy writing, everyone!
