Optisch hat das SGH-G800 ein Janusgesicht: Auf der einen Seite sieht es aus wie eine echte Digicam, auf der anderen wie ein Mobiltelefon. Der Effekt ist beabsichtigt: In dem technisch ausgereiften Mobiltelefon stecken tolle Foto-Features. So lässt der Xenon-Blitz Close-up-Aufnahmen zu und ermöglicht eine genaue Abbildung vieler Details. Der dreifach optische Zoom funktioniert mit Linsen, die im Inneren des Handys versteckt sind, so dass sie nach außen nicht auftragen und nicht das Design des Handys stören. Autofokus, Blitzlicht und 5-Megapixel-Auflösung versprechen jede Menge Fotospaß, verpackt in ein kompaktes Metall-Gehäuse mit den Abmessungen 101 x 51,1 x 18,8.
